Ayaan Hirsi Alie participated with Jordan Peterson, John Anderson, and Oz Guiness in a 50 minute conversation at ARC in 2023. She explains some of the nature of her conversion toward the end of the talk. (The whole thing, available at https://youtu.be/wtZq-zF1QG4?si=70o3x0D2987-713M, is worth a listen.)

A few more takes, all helpful:

* Solas Center for Public Christianity director Andy Bannister compares Ali's step to Lewis's initial conversion from pagan/atheist to theist before turning fully to Christ... and commends grace and prayer for her instead of relentless critique: https://www.premierchristianity.com/apologetics/from-islam-to-atheism-to-christianity-the-unlikely-conversion-of-ayaan-hirsi-ali/16741.article

* Mathematician and essayist Bethel McGrew offers an analysis of Ali's conversion against the backdrop of the work of several "secular Christians" (e.g., Douglass Murray and Tom Holland), and suggests that, even though Christianity seems to some like a convenient fiction to support the values we cherish, there are also good reasons for believing it is actually true: https://www.furtherup.net/p/why-you-should-be-a-christian?fbclid=IwAR2Xh_J-Oon2Vz99gvM3iOxIbk18vmKU7p3o5kpXSe0DeJL5GNSaXTzq6hY

* Historian Carl Trueman also has a good take at First Things... no time to summarize it before this meeting, though ;-): https://www.firstthings.com/web-exclusives/2023/11/why-ayaan-hirsi-ali-became-a-christian
